are beginning to flap their wings & do the other preening things they do. Chicago, however, seems to have had another bad storm.

We're reading "Great Coat" by Gogol in the Russian class- in the original, now. The class has about 10 people, one other girl. It will be fun & [[image 1]] not very demanding. When doing all this scientific work you don't learn very many new words, but literature surely provides them! In the other course there are about 20, all boys. It is a lab course (1 lab a week) & I'll learn about the equipment  Jack Works with there.

Dear folks,
We received your Valentine Cakes but no letter this week. [[image 2]] Thank you! They were well preserved. We also received the warning about the envelope. Would you be so good, Dad, as to find out how much they are worth (if you can)? We don't know any stamp collectors here in town but could try to locate some if you can't find out. Jack told me the classic story of the upside-down airplane on the stamp which the clever man [[image 3]]
