Dear folks,
I wonder how it is with you today? We had a big sleet-snow last night which broke down numerous limbs and put out the power all over town. We've been without heat and light since 2 last night, and altho' the temperature isn't below 66 yet it will probably be a long time before the heat goes on again. I guess we can pull out the sleeping bags & reinforce our bed enough to sleep warmly, but we'll probably spend our days at school, which has a separate power plant which is functioning. I'm glad my last exam is tomorrow.

One good thing has been the unusual beauties in ice & snow (mostly ice). We've been using some of the film you sent to record the scenes. Ice
