The State of North Carolina Edgcombe County

I Polly Chalhoun has agreed to Furnish a freeman by the name of Charels 3 horses and Land for a 3 Horse Crope the year 1866 I further do a gree to furnish corn and fodder for the Board of the 3 Horses and further agreed to furnish all the Tools nessary for cultivateing the crope for one year and pay one half of the Shope Act  he is to also use my oxens where nessary to keepe the plantation A under a good fence and all the Ditches well clean out and attend to all my stock on the plantation, to go to mill for me, or any other Busness that is nessary. he is have the us of my horses as long as he works my Land and when seases to work my Land he to delivered up my horses, onc he is have all he makes on what Land
