Dr Mooar reports in person that sixty 60 or more Colored have been collected in an open lot thirteen 13 miles from Garland on charge of receiving stolen gold. All who were at a certain religious meeting men women & children are marched there on foot some already kept a week exposed to starvation & weather — All money gold or paper taken from them. Arrested in this County on Justice warrant from Conecuh. Tried to arrest a female nurse at Hospital Dr Mooar protested & asks instructions.
