The necessary boilers and other articles for this purpose will be transferred to them by the chief Quartermaster.

The Civil authorities as well as Benevolent Societies having expressed the desire to co-operate with them in this work it is suggested that a committee be appointed to consist of one or more reliable persons from each ward or society who shall pass upon the name of each applicant for relief presented to the committee by the person designated for this duty, who will be expected to visit the houses of the applicants and who will be privileged to furnish such temporary relief as may he necessary until the next meeting of the committee.  The committee having acted favorably upon the application the names shall be entered upon the relief list Kept by the Committee, and all the Soup Kitchens giving the amount to be issued and how long to be continued. 

Relief will not be granted to parties moving into the city after the date of this organization unless on the special order of the committee. Relief tickets will be furnished which upon presentation will entitle the bearer to the amount stated thereon.

It is desired that the relief furnished by the Committee be taken home by the applicant and not in any case to be consumed in the Kitchen unless it shall be abso-

lutely necessary.

Regular ration returns giving the amount required of Fresh Beef Flour or Bread. Desicated Potatoes. Desicated Mixed Vegetables, Salt and Pepper specified for this issue by the Commissary Department of the Army will be made by the Sub Asst. Commr. and forwarded for approval of the Assistant Commissioner.

Farnsworth U.S.A. A.A.Q.M. at Atlanta, Ga.
The Quartermasters Department will furnish the necessary transportation.
