Whereas authority was granted by the Commissioner of the Bureau to issue two (2) months rations to the Catholic Orphan Assylum of Mobile, Ala, and circumstances have prevented such issue:  it is directed that the Commissary of the Bureau at Mobile issue to the Director of said assylum for the need its inmates six thousand six hundred and forty eight (6,648) pounds of bacon and eight hundred and thirty one (831) bushels of corn, that being equivalent in value to the cost of rations for two hundred and sixty(260) persons (the number in the assylum) for two months. In case the articles issued are not deemed proper for the use of inmates, the Director of said assylum is authorized to make exchange for such articles of food as are considered suitable.
