Special Orders No 58 } Extract

I  Lieut L.J. Whiting 45th US Infantry Chief Q.M. Bureau R.F. and A.L. Ala, will issue to Mrs Mary E Walker, for distribution to the destitute of Macon County, the following articles -
Thirty (30) Pr Brogans
Thirty (30) Pr Pants
Thirty (30) Knit Jackets
Forty (40) Woolen Blankets
Twenty (20) Flannel Sacks Coats (Lined)
Ten (10) Dress Coats (Lined)
Forty (40) Great Coats
II  Geo. F. Browning, late 1st Lieut V.R.C. Bvt Maj. U.S.V. Chief QM Bureau RF and AL, Dist. of Alabama is authorized to drop from his rations eighty-eight and one half (88 1/2) cords of wood and three thousand nine hundred and two (3902) pounds of hay, it having been shown that these stores were expended in the following manner, to wit:  Thirty (30) cords of wood, issued to the "Teachers Home", in Montgomery, fifty eight and one half (58 1/2) cords issued to destitute Refugees and Freedmen, and three thousand nine hundred and two (3902) pounds of hay issued as bedding to the Teachers at the "Teachers Home", aforesaid and it being further shown that these stores have never been otherwise accounted for.

Special Orders No 59 } Extract

I  Leave of absence for twenty (20) days is hereby granted to  Bvt Lt Col. J.C. Kipp Surgeon U.S. Vols. Surgeon in Chief Bureau RF and AL Ala, with permission to apply to the Commissioner for an extension of ten (10) days.
II  Dr J Schatz AA Surg. USA will perform the duties of Bvt Lt Col. J.C. Kipp, Surgeon U.S. Vols.
III  Lt Geo. Shorkley, 15th U.S. Infty, ACS Bureau RF and AL, Sub. Dist. of Selma, will sell in convenient lots and on the most advantageous terms obtainable, all corn and bacon, (both Government and that received from Benevolent Societies) now in his possession which by further retention will suffer damage.  All funds received therefore will be at once turned over to Bvt. Lt Col. E Beecher, Chief Dis. Officer Bureau R.F. and A.L. Ala.  Separate rations will be made thereof showing the source from which funds are derived.
