Special Orders No 11}

I.  A Board of Survey is hereby appointed to convene at the office of the Sub Asst Comr. B.R.F. and A.L. at Demopolis Ala at 10 o'clock AM on the 10th inst or as soon thereafter as practicable for the purpose of ascertaining the cause and extent of the loss of certain Quartermasters and Commissary Stores said to have been stolen from the warehouse at that place on the night of the 20th December and for which P.E. O'Connor (late Bvt Captain V.R.C. A.A.Q.M. B.R.F. and A.L.) is responsible. - Detail for the Board.  1st Lieut A.S. Bennett, 15th U.S. Infantry.
II.  W.C. Arthur, Chief Quartermaster B.R.F and A.L. will purchase in open market for issue to destitute Freedwomen and children in the State of Alabama
Five Hundred (500) yds. Osnaburgs, and
Three Hundred (300) yds Cotton Cloth.

A Board of Survey is hereby appointed to convene at the office of the Chief Quartermaster B.R.F. and A.L. at Montgomery Ala at 10 o'clock AM on the 5th inst or as soon thereafter as practicable for the purpose of ascertaining and reporting upon the loss or deficiency said to exists in certain parts of Paper Cutter transferred to W.C. Arthur Chief Quartermaster B.R.F. and A.L. State of Ala, and for which he is responsible. 
There being no other officer available for the detail Capt. Geo. Shorkley Bvt Major U.S.A. will constitute the Board.
