Lieut J. Bannister 43" U.S. Infantry having been assigned to duty as Sub. Asst Commissioner for the Sub. Dist of Opelika, will proceed to Opelika Ala and relieve Mr. R.J. Smith Sub. Asst 257 Comr. at that place, who will turn over to him all Bureau Stores, and the records of his office. Mr. Smith upon being relieved will proceed to Weldonville Randolph County, Ala. and take station there as Agent reporting his arrival at that place through the office Sub. Assistant Commissioner at Opelika. 3. The journey performed on the 5th and 6th instant by Samuel S. Gardner. Sub. Assistant Commissioner from Greenville to Garland, Ala. and return from, upon Bureau business is hereby authorized, and the necessary expenses incurred will be paid upon presentation of the proper vouchers to the Disbursing Offices.
