The several Disbursing Officers of this Bureau will, after the first day of April next, upon the order of the Commissioner, issue transportation orders and bills of lading required for the transportation service of the Bureau. In making such issues they will be governed by existing orders of the Quartermaster's Department of the Army relating to transportation service, a file of which will be furnished each Disbursing Officer by the Chief Quartermaster of this Bureau, together with blank forms of transportation orders and bills of lading, as prescribed by General Orders, Nos. 17 and 29, Q.M.G.O., series of 1865 the use of which will be continued until further orders.
Monthly reports, as prescribed by paragraph 2 of General Orders, No. 17, Q.M.G.O., series of 1865, will be made to the Commissioner. All orders cancelled by error during the  month must accompany this report, which will be made in the following form:

Monthly Report of Transportation Orders issued, cancelled, remaining on hand, &c at .... during the month of .... 186  .
