I. Paragraph I of Special Order No. 129, current series, from this Office, is hereby amended to read as follows:

The lumber and building materials, old and new, borne upon the papers of the Disbursing Officers of this Bureau, will be expended for school-buildings and asylums, the latter including tenements for poor Refugees and Freedmen, in accordance with the provisions of an Act entitled "An Act making appropriations for the support of the army for the year ending June 30, 1868, and for other purposes," approved March 2, 1867.

In all cases of repairs or partial construction the lumber and materials may be expended, and the authority is hereby granted to drop the same from their returns.
