SPECIAL ORDERS,
No 18

Bvt Lt. Col. Edwin Beecher, Supt. of Education Bureau R. F. & A. L. for the State of Alabama, having made requisition for eleven hundred and sixteen (1116) pounds of Oats, and thirteen hundred and two (1302) pounds of Hay, required during the month of May 1869, for three (3) private horses in the service of the Bureau under his direction, he will purchase in open market the supply of forage so estimated for, take up and account for the same, and issue his certified vouchers therefor, which will be forwarded to the Chief Disbursing Officer at these Head-quarters for payment. Before delivering the vouchers so issued, Col. Beecher will cause copies of this order ([[purchase/---uly?]] Certified) to be annexed hereto.
