I am no judge of land, part of Mr Wilsons farm is composed of a stiff black soil, part of it is light and sandy, and is now covered with a cotton crop, pretty fair in most places, there is hardly any swamp in the neighborhood.

On the whole I consider Mr Wilsons farm as exceedingly well adapted for the purposes of a home colony, and can conscientiously recommend it as being in my opinion suitable in every respect.
