Dear Mitchell
In writing to Mr. Buckley Supt. of Education in connection with Gn. Swayne, some 2 or 3 months ago, as possibly I [[strikethrough]] afor [[/strikethrough]] mentioned to you I spoke of the matter of houses &c. I have just rec'd. from him under date of Sept 8, a letter saying
"I was authorized to state that Gen. W. Swayne will cheerfully aid you in securing school houses at Huntsville, provided you choose to make application to him. I invite you to use great
