Some colored people report that their Employers refuse to allow them to participate in any reconstruction meetings which seem to produce great dissatisfaction among them. This evil I have removed the extent of my power by writing to the parties complained of.

Murders.

None have come to my knowledge during the month. Some threats of murder however have been reported.

Claims.

During the month thirty applications for Bounty of discharged colored soldiers have been made out and forwarded from this office through the Assistant Commissioner at Montgomery Ala to Bt Major Wm Fowler A.A.G. Bureau R.F. & A.L. Washington D.C.
