During the month Fifteen application for Bounty of discharge colored soldiers have been made out and forwarded from this office through the Sub Asst. Comr Montgomery Ala. to Bt. Maj William Fowler A.A.G. B.R.F. and A. Lands Washington D.C.

Political Items.

In this particular everything seems to be quiet at the present time. Registration in Madison Co. and pretty much throughout my District has been completed.

Crops.

The crops all through this part of the country are reported to be much better than they have been for many years. Owing to the good crops now coming in, the necessity for continuing the issue of supplies to the destitute in my Dist. has ceased, and I would respectfully recommend that no more supplies be sent me from any source, until they are called for.

General Business.

Nothing of importance to mention excepting what has been above stated.

I am sir, very respectfully
Your obedient servant
Jno B. Callis
Bt. Brig. Genl. and
Sub Asst. Comr
