In compliance with instructions received from Head Quarters District of Alabama.  I have the honor to submit the following general report for the month of August.  

As there has been very few complaints made by employers against their laborers, I believe the Freedmen have worked well during the month.

Four (4) applications have been mad to revoak indentures of apprenticeship, under General Orders No. 3.  Head Qrs District of Alabama current series.  All of which have been refered to the Judges of Probate - no report of action taken has yet been received.

There has been twenty (20) complaints made at this office of violation of Contract on the part of the Employer, said complaints have been refered to the Justices of the Peace in the beat where the parties reside, several cases have been settled, giving satisfaction to the laborers.

There has been one case reported of outrage committed by white (over)
