on Colord persons in this "Sub District", several complaints have been made of assaults on freemen by white persons, these cases have been refered to the Justices of the Peace - who have taken action and reported in most cases.

The number of destitite refugees and Fredemen to whom rations have been issued at this office is eight hundred and sixty four (864) Refugees and Eight Hundred and Twelve (812) Freedmen.  Making One Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy six (1676)
