General: 
I have the honor to submit the following General Report of Bureau and Freedmen's affairs for the month ending on the thirty first day of March 1868, in obedience to circular No 11, Current Series State of Alabama. 

1st  Abandoned Lands. None known of in this Sub District. 
2nd  Crops. The arrangements and prospects for crops in this Sub District thus far are very affordable; there is a considerable breadth of land sown in "small grain", and it is looking well. From the scarcity of provisions in this country for the last two years, the people seem to begin to realize the importance of planting less cotton and more cereals. With good seasons and no disturbances in the country, we may expect a fair avarage [[average]] crop of all the productions of this country. 
3rd  Destitution. There has been considerable increase of applications for relief, by the poor of both races since my last report; they have however been principally confined to Lee county, that being a new-county without a complete organization
