the normal school at this place, in which there are a number that are speedily obtaining the proficiency by which they may make competent and useful teachers. 
I have eight hundred and sixty four (864) sacks; corn in store at this place, belonging to Bureau RF&AL in a damaged condition.
I have during current month issued to indigent freed people in this and gaining counties, forty parts of suits of clothing belonging to QM Dept.
I have at this place a Hospital of forty three (43) patients. During month I have had neither Steward or Surgeon except visits from Physician of this town. Lost one by death from infirmity admitted three. The patients are generally in good health and Hospital in good conditions.
