I have the honor to submit the following as my report for the month of June, 

It affords me pleasure to be able to report, that, in this Sub. Dist. as a general thing - peace and quietness prevails, so far as I am able to learn the citizens of nearly all shades of Politics have come to conclusion that it best to quietly comply with the Laws, in fact I do not believe that there is a more law abiding District in the State. Of course there is a few turbulent characters, but they are so much in the manority that they dont hurt much.

I have heard some threatened rumers of intended violence towards Geo. W Cox, the Cold Register for this Co, but have not yet been able to find out the names of the parties. If I do, I certainly shall take measures to have them prosecuted. The business of Registration has been going on in the Co. for Eight days, perfectly orderly and quiet so far. nearly all of both color
