Office Asst. Supt. Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and A.L. Tuskegee, Ala. Oct 1st 1865 Col. C. Cadle. Jr A.A. General Colonel: I have the honor to transmit herewith "Weekly Letter." There is nothing of importance to communicate. My time is chiefly occupied in settling difficulties with the Freedmen and their employers. There are some malicious fellows who go about telling the negros they are entitled to so much land and so many mules, which they can get by calling at this office. The freedmen are of course willing - and do - believe this and come flocking in from all parts of my District, and also other adjoining counties. This sporting with their credulity and ignorance is productive
