Office Asst Supt & Bureau of Refugees Freedmen and A.L. Tuskegee Ala Dec 2nd 1865 - Col C Cadle Jr AAG Bureau of R.F and A.L Colonel I have the honor to transmit herewith my weekly report or letter of advice required By [[Law?]] 1 General Order No 14 I see no change in the condition of the Freedmen in this dist all is quiet and everything progressing as well as I could expect takeing into consideration the new order of things I think the Freedmen are gradually becoming more reconciled and willing to preform their duties as good and faithfull Employees but vary few are making contracts for the coming year. I am using my every effort to induce them to make their contracts as early as convenient believing as I do they will get better wages than by waiting until about the close of the present year
