Among the Freedmen of this town. I am informed that the Council have taken Steps to prevent its Spreading what they have done I am not able to Say from the fact they have not been published as yet I understand they meet with the approval of Col Geddes -they are begining to contract more rapidly for the coming year. and as a General thing they are getting Fair Wages. All is going well up to date arguably as well as I could expect; the Freedmen have become more Steady and industrious and the citizens more willing to do Justice to the Negro
hoping my course may meet with the approval of the General I Subscribe my Self
