I have the honor to transmit herewith my weekly report. Nothing of importance to communicate. the Freedmen have principally contracted for the year 1866 There are very few who have not contracted and they are old and decriped ones and those who are encumbered with children and it will be a hard matter for the former to get homes The latter can easily obtain homes by binding or apprenticing their children which is being done by a majority of them. There is and will be Some Suffering among these class however the authorities are takeing Steps for the maintainance of Such as are in the immediate vicinity of this town vary few contracts are being brought here for approval the employers are not inclined to
