I have the honor to transmit here with my weekly report Yesterday about 10 A M a Freedman was braught to my Office who had been Shot By one Tim Davis. it appears from the Statement of Both parties the Said Davis Shot the Boy with a Musket Loaded [[strikethrough]] with [[/strikethrough]] with Buck or Turkey Shot. one Shot takeing effect in the lower part of the abdomen and two in each leg a Dr Johnston was immediately called who dressed his wounds he informs me the Shot will not prove fatal he the Boy appears to be doing well this morning as Soon as the Boy was Braught to my Office I reported the facts to Squire Daugherty who issued a warrent and [[?]] the Said Davis to Be arrested immediately his trial will
