I have the honor to transmit herewith my weekly report.
No particular change since my last letter. Everything working well up to date, keeps the planters Being so very backwards in bringing in their contract for approval. Very few are brought to this office for approval. The Freedmen are giving general satisfaction very few complaints - made by the planter. Some few by Freedmen complaining of not getting enough to eat and saying the planter cuts their allowance down and thus compells them to buy meat at an enormous high price
I will investigate the matter and endeavor to correct the evil if any. I have saw some contracts approved by [[?]]
