I have the honor to transmit herewith my weekly report Nothing of interest transpired since my last report. no information as to who are the Guilty Parties in the Murder of the negro Girl Berry which I reported in my last letter. I have Communicated with Justice Bagget in reference to who the guilty parties are, and he informs me that they can get no evidence whatever to convict any one of the deed and he recommends that I Send Some one of my men up and investigate the case in that way. the only reasons I have for suspicioning the two men from Chambers County (which I reported in my last) is they are known desperadoes one of them having killed a Freedmen on a former
