The ratio per 1000 of deaths during the year, has  been 13.85[[?]]; much lower than in previous years 

During the year nine (9) Medical Officers have been employed under contract in this District of whom six (6) have been discharged, one (1) has died, and two (2) are still in service.

The services of these gentlemen have been well and faithfully rendered. 

The Hospitals still remaining are in good condition and well supplied with Medical and Hospital Stores of the best quality.
