Said Maj Goodfellow as aforesaid and Liet Middler his agent in said office of the Freedman Bureau for Madison County aid by force by sending a guard of soldiers forcible take and appropriate to their own use the said two hundred and sixty-two 1/2 pounds of cotton from the Plaintiffs house and against his will and Intent.  That the said Maj Goodfellow and Liet Middler as aforesaid without any show of justice appropriated the proceeds of said cotton to the payment of the fine of said Frank Hoalain and Jim Lord Freedman as aforesaid to the Plaintiffs Damage of One Hundred Dollars -

The Plaintiff first states that he is and always has been a loyal citizen of the United States and was relying on Said Maj. Goodfellow and Liet Middler for said beacon for justice which he has never seen thought often applied for.

Personally, Milton Williams alias Camel Clay who being duly sworn on oath say that the state made in the above affidavit is just & Correct & makes the affidavit to recover his just Right Sworn to & subsided before me Milton Williams this 22nd day of March 1988 alias Camel Cloy
