been appointed by the Probate Judge of that County who has also consented to take charge of the supplies sent to that depot and will issue to the agents for the Counties of Walker and Fayette as well as the County of Tuscaloosa

At Demopolis arrangements have been perfected with Mr William Lyon a reliable and responsible 
Commission merchant to receive store and issue the supplies sent to that depot in bulk to the agents of the respective Counties to be supplied from that point
Mr Eugene McCan a gentleman of standing and character has consented to act as agent for Marengo County, superintend the issue of rations to the destitute and see that all necessary and proper attentions are given to the Freedmen's Colony and the Hospitals in that County.
These were the only points I was able to visit when depots had been established.
