BEAUREGARD HOUSE
LOUISIANA

[[/upside down]]

Like you, I have escaped the flu and colds. We are both doing well health wise and that is something to be thankful for.
Thank you so much for writing to me- always with love.

The lovely Beauregard House, built in 1840, is a wonderful example of the glorious Southern plantations which were built for the gracious living manner of Louisiana's charming and hospitable people. This beautiful and historic structure, which is now the headquarters for Chalmette National Historical Park, once was the home of confederate General P.G.T. Beauregard and later was occupied by his son, Judge Rene Beauregard.
