Dear Auntie Blake,

I got your letter & was so glad to hear from you. Guess you are well as you are able to write. Well it is July 4 tomorrow don't think there is anything going on here. Francis is full of it - he is firing off caps tonight.  I will be glad when it is over. We are all about as usual here. Mother is pretty well went down to the library tonight. My brother was over here

you go to Oaks Bluffs that week.  I did not ever hear until you wrote your card. I wanted to see you I had so many things to say to you well I will see you when you get home. The time will fly so fast. Summer is all to short. Winter comes to quick to suit me. Charlotte is still working for Mrs. Campbell she is expecting another arrival in her family soon well I will stop now lots of love to you from Mrs Aane & all the family,
