Dear Doris

A very nice & sunny Sabbath & not quite so cold around 30° early this morning. Our snow didn't last long it came Friday night after I went off to bed, she had gone to choir rehearsals & came home in the midst of the snowstorm about six inches after pouring all night hard there was none of it left in the morning it rained by spells all [[crossed out]] all [[/crossed out]] the next day & cleared during last night. In spite of the gloomy weather we managed to dry some clothes. By the help of our kitchen store. It was needed as we have had but little rain all this month & with so many leaves around town there was danger of fires.

Doris is out this weekend & sitting knitting in the rocking chair another sweater. I guess she is looking forward to her trip home she brought us xmas presents & received a few herself. I was glad to get the last bundle you sent & also surprised there were lots of nice presents you have sent me this year, the picture of you & Sidney couldn't have looked any more natural. I keep it where I can see it all day.
