Stoughton April 7th 1946

Dear Doris We are having cool weather & sunny days. the temperature was in the [[?]] early this morning & being pleasant I took advantage of the weather & washed out a few of my clothes.

After dinner Gladys came over from Alices where she had been & was going back there to stay all night & over Sunday. they were going to have a turkey for their dinner they live high I should say for turkeys cost money. Gladys said she was coming here sometime to stay over Sunday. I think she grows fat, double chin & a heavy bust. she cant have a very hard life working.
   
Mrs Barry is invited out to supper has just gone off with Blanche Hammond to Brockton & dont know what time she will be home so took the key with her. thats the best way, then I dont have to sit up & wait for her. she went to church & sung in the choir & abot split her throat singing. the minister told them to sing loud & it just suited him. he was the only one & it wasn't melody Mabel Colcord was just in her elements just as she likes to sing always. but not Mrs Barry
