We have just been to dinner of roast lamb potato & squash & tapioca pudding I was very hungry so it tasted good. she made a squash pie & sweetened it with cornsyrup. so you see we have enough to eat. we got some canned sausages a little while ago & had those for our dinner last week. they are much better than the fresh ones not so greasy.

I am glad you got rid of your cold. I guess the rest was what you needed. perhaps you caught it of Barbes, he was having a terrible hard one you said. the only time I ever have a cold its taken from some one else.

Edith Trollopes baby cries all the time they say, she lives with her folks & I dont wonder it cries, for they say Edith is a very fussy person. I guess she was born too soon after Richard. he has a wonderful good disposition too bad he was from a mongolian.

Well this letter is strung along on nothing. I also have written about all the news. as I don't go theres not much to tell you. I am sure the sun is getting warm & growing higher & the days are growing longer. the wind blew so all night & it was hard to sleep the windows rattled so. I think you must be glad when spring comes so your house will be warmer. I dont see how you have stood the winter so far.  love Ma.
