Dear Children

Sent off the silk waist two days ago and hope it reaches you all right Be sure and let me know wont you? as soon as you receive it I sent it to Clarendon all right this time. I dont see how I could have been so stupid. I may end up in a home for the feeble minded yet. Sorry about those almonds. They seemed so much better for Sidney than devilled ham. Sidney must have suffered when he was  here last summer at the tameness of the diet. And if I'd only known his tastes I'd have supplied him with at least some of his favorites though I should have done some strenuous propaganda work. Why did'nt you tell me Doris. As to their dying happy, they dont, usually, They some times have a long period of ill health & illness & suffer very quietly & entirely unnecessarily as a result of a bad diet. Well I'll save some of my lecture for another time I wish I could send you a box of cold weather. Its been
