Dear Children.

Have been waiting for a chance to write a good long letter and as a result haven't written you as I said I would.

Well I wrote that much about two weeks ago I think. Since then I've been "ill" off and on; get better and then worse and so on. Hope I'm going to snap out of it now.

I suppose you've heard the news about our coming out. You see we didn't take your advice. Wallie wrote me some time ago before he had this stroke that if I come soon I'd find him there and glad to see me but not to wait too long.  Ralph says he seems to be improving right along but he is pretty reckless I think and I can see

Do you want me to try to bring you some more beetles? If it were spiders and a daddy long legs I could fill a large order. I keep my tooth brushes inside the screen now and am ready for any further hints and advice Never too old to learn
