But Walter would not leave Stoughton and his sweetheart for the gold & treasure of all the earth, and she would not go away to school as her father wanted her to. From the time Walter first laid eyes on her when he was sixteen, he never thought of any one else - on earth. He was'nt able to make money for her but he certainly gave her a life time of devotion, and in a way it seems a tragedy for them to be parted now. I'm glad about the heater. I thought if they got as much comfort out of one as we did they'd certainly be glad of it. I never knew they had even received it till many weeks after that. and then Maude & Ralph wrote that he enjoyed it so much. I'm glad it was a help. Ralph is going to try to sell the house Will it be difficult? I've been wondering if it would do or could be made to do for a private sanitarium or something like that. Most people nowadays do not want such a large house
