Today I shop & do laundry in preparation for our departure in the afternoon. I bought a skirt last week which needed alteration, so I pick up that today. It is of corduroy, of a much sturdier variety than we have at home. I also want to buy a corduroy jacket, & I'll have something approaching a spring suit. Things are well sewn here. I bought a light nylon nightgown for $3 which is very well done, in the "dime" store. Jack's spring coat is being repaired in town too -- all the buttonholes had torn out. We'll see how good a job an ordinary cleaning establishment will do. I had his new (Dad's) big coat cleaned and moth proofed and it is the only thing so far put away; my winter coat comes next. I bought a cheap ($3) garment bag which will hold most everything. The slip cover I finished on the last trip, making very solid seams, & they are in use.

Well, must take off now -
Love,
Doris & Jack
