This case coming in to be heard, on the absence of the mother, after she was notified to attend her child & reputed fathers brother being present the court were satisfied from the evidence that the mother was a oman of bad character & wholly unfit to raise it properly, and that the child had been well cared for by Graham for over twelve months past.
On motion of solicitor, Caldner a Rule was granted in Graham to show cause why the indenture should not be cancelled, On hearing of which there was not evidence to satisfy the Court of any error & Therefore they refuse to cancel the Indentures. 2 Mch 1867 [[?]] [[Chair?]] & P. Justice
