to be much better than diffusion of our efforts, would prefer, primarily, to extend our school system from Yorktown as a nucleus, to whatever points require schools in the neighborhood.

We had also some thoughts of opening schools at Lynchburg & Danville, & Y. Warner has suggested Winchester & Suffolk. Perhaps the latter place had better be undertaken by some Association conspicuously occupied at Norfolk. Of the wants of Winchester I know but little, but as it is a somewhat isolated place and & some Assoc must occupy it if necessary, I would not object to ours doing so, especially as there are Friends in the vicinity.
