Dear Sir

Capt Milder has been here & advises that Mr. Gloucester (who is the colored man who established so successfully the school at Petersburg Va) proceed immediately to Va who could see & advise with the people about obtaining situations here. He is in sympathy with the Movement & you would find his services valuable in every respect. So far he has given his services free. You had better send him transportation.
We shall need his service in October. Meanwhile the Bureau may need them. Respectfully yours
Mr. Geo. Hawkins
