As. Secretary of the American Bap. Home Mission Society. Acting in the Freedmen department it is quite important to its opperations that I should record what I may of the Principles which the Beared adopt and the plans they propose. I am anxious to accomplish the greatest possible amount of Goodness the means of which we shall invest in the work for Freedmen. To act efficiently, we must send the right persons to the right place. and a just Responsibility to capacity. We believe more can be done when we connect our teachers with the Christian congregation and religion worship then in any other way. My expectation therefore is that all the Teachers which our
