Rev R. M. Manly

Dear Sir,
Our Teachers Committee feel greived & mortified that "Our noble Association" - should have apportioned to its care a district in which the principal town had already been given to twp other societies. I do not blam you or Col Brown & perhaps there may be slight injustice in which I have stated - But next to the injustice of having a poor field, is the misfortune of a much poorer agent. My dear friend I want you & Col. The Baptist agents had over 500 pupils in their school & the Penna Association some 200, there was little left - a house & schools! If I am wrong in this, of course let what I go for nothing. If there is any degree of justice in it. We think you will see the wisdom of not sending us upon a fruitless mission - We have sent you
