Dear Sir,
Your favor of the 18th to Dr. Jas. E. Rhoads containing freight bills to the am't of Five 25/100 Dollars for shipment of goods to J.W. Shoemaker, Lynchburg, has been received. Enclosed please find the amount of the bills ($5.25) in U.S. currency and oblige me by acknowledging the receipt of the same.
