or has the Bureau come to a conclusion to supercede all books whatever by a certain series; which order would make our stock on hand a dead loss- Should we use them or shall we not. We charged nothing for them to the Freedmen. Only if we cannot use them we must buy others which we cannot possibly as in time. I have good news from Dansville. Our teachers are making good head way there. We think the Freedmen might buy their books after a while: but we are not ready to propose that to them yet.
Please to advise regarding those two matters as soon as possible. I should not start for Washington & Richd. before the end of the month.
