unless the building can be put in better order. It is a gov't building of course we do not feel that we can lay out money on it, Capt Flagg had commenced repairs on it when he was relieved & stopped it. in another week he would have had it all done. Capt. Wilder says in the present condition of affairs he does not feel at liberty to repair without instructions from Col. Brown, but would be very glad to do it, as he is much interested in the school. I thought I would represent the matter to you & perhaps you could get the requisite order from Col. B. I have got my schools well to going. Shall visit N.York next week. Should be glad to see you in the schools.

Very Respectfully
C.G.G. Paine
