Dear Sir,
The paper in relation to the business of Elizabeth Peters came safe to home, & even here when it came back from Fredericksburg. I have this day succeeded in finishing the business as far as I can do it. I enclose a draft on the First National Bank, Richmond, Va. from $66.62. (the sum due Elizabeth Peters) Made payable to the order of R.W. Manly Esq. I made a mistake in one of the initials of your name; but I presume it will make no difference, as I mean R.M. Manly, the Superintendent of Schools for Freedman, in Richmond.
If you will draw this
