I am not well this ev'ing β€” and my friends insist that I shall not return to Richmond for several days. I yield reluctantly, for the work will be waiting, and ought to go on.

Let me suggest that you write Chaplain Manly immediately directing him to go ahead with the work of the Winder removal without delay, giving him such directions as to the No. of rooms &c as you deem best β€” also any further instructions that may occur to you as necessary you have the whole thing in
